Reolink Argus 4 Pro without a subscription: what works for free
The Argus 4 Pro records to a microSD card or Reolink Home Hub with no plan, and Reolink says live view, text alerts and person detection need no subscription. Reolink Cloud is optional.

The short answer
- The Argus 4 Pro meets all five of our no-plan checks. You get live view, local recording, alerts, person detection and playback without paying Reolink anything monthly [S1][S2][S4].
- Recordings go to a microSD card you buy (up to 512GB) or to a Reolink Home Hub [S1]. If the camera is stolen, the card goes with it. That risk is what Reolink Cloud is for [S5].
- The only things that cost money are the optional cloud copy, alerts with an animated preview, and cloud AI search [S4][S5].

What needs a paid plan
What the plan costs
There is no required plan. Reolink Cloud is optional and only "available in selected countries" [S1]. Reolink's cloud plan page lists several plan series [S5], but we couldn't confirm from it which plan and price apply to the Argus 4 Pro, so we don't show a cost yet. Unverified

Hardware facts that matter for a no-plan setup
- Video: 5120×1440 at 15fps from two lenses stitched into a 180° horizontal view [S1].
- Battery: 5000mAh. Reolink says it normally lasts about 2 months per charge if the camera records about 300 seconds a day [S1]. A Reolink Solar Panel 2 (6W) can keep it charged [S1].
- Home Hub extras: RTSP streaming and NAS storage work through a Reolink Home Hub, not from the camera alone [S1].
- Weather and warranty: IP66, with a 2-year limited warranty [S1].
What to buy with it
You'll need a microSD card (FAT32, Class 10 or faster, up to 512GB), because one isn't in the box [S1]. A bigger card holds more history. Reolink doesn't publish a days-per-gigabyte figure for this model, so we don't estimate one.

Does the Reolink Argus 4 Pro need a subscription?
No. Reolink says no subscription fees are required for live viewing [S1], and that cloud recording is optional because you can record to a microSD card instead [S2].
What size microSD card does the Argus 4 Pro take?
Up to 512GB, formatted FAT32, Class 10 or faster. The camera doesn't come with a card [S1].
